Grip inc. singer Gus Chambers passt away on 13th October 2008
In the summer of 1993, I met a man named Gus Chambers. On 13 October 2008 I
lost a friend.
In those 15 years we went through good and bad times together,
but always shared profound friendship.
Being a singer and a front man was just
one face of Gus; beyond that he was much deeper, a great human being, and like
a brother to me.
Though we had our times off, we always managed to find our way
back. I thought we'd been "built to resist", i believed in the power of these
words.
Now, only sadness runs through my veins. Colors are black, sorrow is
soaring high. Though I have to accept his decision to leave this world, I will
never agree with it.
You will always be a part of me, Gus.

GRIP INC. have been quiet for a while and their mainman Waldemar Sorychta busy with his new band ENEMY OF THE SUN, but fans are in for a special treat:

This marks a reunion of two main players of this seminal Thrash band, that also featured drummer Dave Lombardo (Slayer) on their four records from 1995 to 2004. Everybody who has witnessed ENEMY OF THE SUN tearing up the festivals this summer and even whipping out GRIP INC. classics like 'Ostracized' for good measure, will know that this show will kick some serious ass!
The GRIP INC. set will be the highlight of ENEMY OF THE SUN's headlining show. Support will come from SHOTGUN WEDDING and POSITIVE STRIKE.
The show starts at 6.45pm, doors open at 5pm. Entrance fee is 6€ until 7pm, 9€ afterwards. In case of bad weather the open air will simply move inside. And there's even a barbecue!

Enemy Of The Sun, the new band of Waldemar Sorychta, will release their debut album “Shadows” on Dec 7 in Europe (via Massacre Records) and on Jan 22 in North America (via The End Records).
With Enemy Of The Sun, acclaimed producer/guitarist Waldemar Sorychta once again delivers High Class Thrash with a twist – just as he has done as the creative force behind Grip Inc. and Despair.
The music on “Shadows” is Metal. But not with a nice little box you can put it in. Not New School, not Old School, not this, not that... it's its own thing. Strong, fresh, clever, authentic, headstrong, innovative. And heavy as hell.
